Mark Grabowski was invited to speak on a panel on "The Dissemination of Communication Through Mediated Devices" at the New York State Communication Association's annual conference, being held Oct. 18-20 in Ellenville, New York. The panel highlights the role of technological media in the communication of messages between sources and receivers, ultimately creating networks of individuals based on the accumulation of information and interest. Specifically, the panel will address Facebook's influence on marriage equality, the role of social media in the Arab Spring, the ethics of New York newspapers' mug shot websites and other topics.
