Teaching
Mark Grabowski is an associate professor at Adelphi University on Long Island, where he teaches tech-related communication courses: internet law, digital ethics, blockchain and web journalism.
Mark's courses examine many of the legal, policy and ethical issues raised by the emergence and dominance of the Internet as a means for communication, commerce and social interaction.
As a columnist and former newspaper reporter, Mark also has an interest in journalism and has taught courses in newswriting, media relations and media law & ethics. Check out his students' work here. In January 2016, he took journalism students to Cuba to report on the changes underway. He's also an instructor for Dow Jones News Fund’s summer bootcamp at the University of Texas-Austin, which prepares college and graduate students for journalism internships and jobs.
Mark also serves on the boards for the Institute on Political Journalism and the Journalism Education Association's magazine. He regularly gives talks around the country on journalism and media law.
