Along with other journalism professors, he will participate in a panel entitled "Journalism After High School: What's Next?" The panel will discuss what students should be doing in college to further their journalism education after high school. Are scholarships available? Is it necessary to major in journalism? What skills should they develop? How to find and balance internships with studying, jobs and extracurriculars. The conference is April 25-27 in Anaheim.
Grabowski is a professor at Adelphi University and columnist for the Washington Examiner. He's also an instructor for Dow Jones News Fund’s summer bootcamp at the University of Texas-Austin, which prepares college and graduate students for journalism internships and jobs. Additionally, he serves on the boards for the Institute on Political Journalism in Washington, D.C. and the Journalism Education Association. He regularly gives talks around the country on journalism and media law.
