There is a petition on Change.org asking the U.S. government to "prosecute internet trolls" who viciously attack others online. The petition argues that "People [are] continually 'assaulted' emotionally on social media & then commit suicide. Attackers say 'the right to speak one’s mind' or some other pathetic excuse ... NEW LAW NEEDED!" Do you agree? Why or why not? If so, how would you craft a law banning this behavior? Remember to post an initial response of at least 100 words that incorporates course material along with a short follow-up response to my or another student's comments.
